Sidewalk Café 't Vat is a very popular café in Paramaribo, Suriname, where everyone can enjoy a nice time under the green trees in a tropical ambiance. In the morning hours, people like to work on their laptop while having breakfast along with a nice cup of coffee or a nice glass of pure fruit juice. Even at this time 't VAT is a place to get together. For example, after taking a walk outside, 't VAT is the place for you to enjoy the ambiance of Suriname with surrounded vegetation and a nice cool drink.
At about 12 o'clock people like to come for an early lunch. We serve a variety of dishes, like Nasi or Bami Goreng, Steak with Fries, a delicious Kandra (fish), etcera. From the start of Sidewalk Café 't VAT in 1981, 't VAT is famous for its ice cold beer and chicken-sates. But other dishes like the Vatburger, a typical Surinamese dish called Pom and the large variety in cocktails we serve, have become popular as well.
